By Election Results 2014 of Assembly and Lok Sabha Seats

 

Counting of votes has been started in 3 Lok Sabha and 33 assembly constituencies in 10 states. The bypolls were held on 13 September.

The three Lok Sabha seats are: Vadodara (Gujarat),  Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh) and Medak (Telangana). The assembly seats are 11 in UP, 9 in Gujarat, 4 in Rajasthan, 2 in West Bengal, 5 in northeastern states and one each in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.

24 of these assembly seats were held by BJP and one each by its allies Apna Dal and TDP.

Chowranghee and Dakshin Basirhat Assembly By Election


11.45 am:

Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Bandopadhyay has won the Chowringhee assembly seat by a margin of 14344 votes.

Ritesh Tiwari finished in the 2nd position in Chowringhee assembly seat. 

Shamik Bhattacharya have won the Bashirhat Dakshin assembly seat by a margin of nearly 1700 votes. This result is the most interesting. The result shows that BJP is getting the political platform in West Bengal. West Bengal people are showing their faith in Narendra Modi. In state assembly election 2016, BJP will emerge as the main rival of the ruling party. Trinamool Congress took the Bashirhat Dakshin assembly as a prestige issue. Mukul Roy himself and other state ministers were engaged in Bashirhat Dakshin assembly for the by election.

11.30 am:

At the end of 12th round of counting, Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Bandopadhyay is leading in Chowringhee assembly seat by a margin of 3594 votes. BJP candidate Ritesh Tiwari is in the 2nd position and Congress candidate is now in 3rd position..

BJP candidate, Shamik Bhattacharya have won the Bashirhat Dakshin assembly by a margin of nearly 1000 votes

BJP has opened their account in state assembly independently.

11.15 am:

Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Bandopadhyay is leading in Chowringhee assembly seat.

At the end of 10th round of counting, Trinamool Congress candidate Dipendu Biswas is leading in Bashirhat Dakshin by a margin of 1500 votes. At one time Trinamool Congress candidate was leading by more than 17000 votes. BJP candidate, Shamik Bhattacharya is moving fast and anything can happen in the result.

CPM has failed to produce any encouraging results in either assembly seats.

11.10 am:

Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Bandopadhyay is leading by more that 3500 votes in Chowringhee assembly seat.

Trinamool Congress candidate Dipendu Biswas is leading in Bashirhat Dakshin. BJP candidate is giving a tough fight to Trinamool there.

11.00 am:

At the end of 10th round of counting, Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Das (Banerjee) is leading by nearly 3000 votes in Chowringhee assembly seat.

Trinamool Congress candidate Dipendu Biswas is leading in Bashirhat Dakshin at the end of 9th round of counting.

10.14 am:

At the end of 8th round of counting, Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Das (Banerjee) is leading by 357 votes in Chowringhee assembly seat while Congress candidate Santosh Pathak is at 2nd position.

Trinamool Congress candidate Dipendu Biswas is leading by more than 14000 votes against his nearest rival.

Roight now both Trinamool Congress candidates are leading.

10.08 am

At the end of 7th rounds of counting in Chowringhee assembly seat, Congress candidate Santosh Pathak is leading by 328 votes against his nearest rival, Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Das (Banerjee).

10.00 am:

At the end of 6 rounds of counting in Chowringhee assembly seat, Congress candidate Santosh Pathak is leading by more than 1200 votes against his nearest rival. Trinamool Congress candidate Nayana Das (Banerjee) is at second position. BJP candidate is at 3rd position.

At the end of 5th round of counting, Trinamool Congress candidate Dipendu Biswas is leading by more than 17000 votes against his nearest rival. BJP candidate in Bashirhat Dakshin, Shamik Bhattacharya is at 2nd position and CPM is at 3rd position.

 

Overall performance of BJP is not encouraging in the other states so far.

 Gujarat


 1.00 pm:

BJP is leading in 5 seats and Congress is leading in 4 seats.

11.00 am:

At Vadodara lok sabha by election, BJP candidate has won the seat.

10.10 am:

BJP is leading in 5 assembly seats while Congress is leading 4 assembly seats.

Rajasthan


1.10 pm:

BJP is trailing in 3 assembly seats.

Uttar Pradesh


10.10 am:

BJP is leading in 3 assembly seats while SP is leading in 7 assembly seats.
