Job Vacancy for Constable in Kolkata Police

Kolkata Police Recruitment Board (KPRB), West Bengal, invites application from eligible and interested candidates for 1167 vacant posts of Constable and Lady Constable in Kolkata Police.

CONSTABLE
Number of Vacancies: 1061 Posts (UR-583; SC-234; ST-64; OBC-A-106; OBC-B-74)

LADY CONSTABLE
Number of Vacancies: 106 Posts (UR-59; SC-23; ST-06; OBC-A-11; OBC-B-07)

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Madhyamik pass boys and girls may apply.

AGE LIMIT: 18 – 27 years as on 01.01.2015. Relaxation of upper age is applicable for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe  

SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 5400 – 25200 (PB 2) + 2600 (Grade Pay) plus other allowances as per norms.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

For the post of Constable :
(1) Minimum Height – 167 cms (160 cms for GORKHA, GARWALI, RAJBANSI and ST)
(2) Minimum Chest (Expanded/ Unexpanded) – 78 cms/ 83 cms (76cms/ 81cms for Gorkha, Garwali, Rajbansi and ST)
(3) Minimum Weight – Proportionate to height as per medical standard.

For the post of Lady Constable:
(1) Minimum Height – 160 cms. (152 cms for Gorkha, Garwali, Rajbansi and ST)
(2) Minimum Weight – Proportionate to height as per medical standard.

The candidate must possess sound physical and mental health.

Selection Procedure: Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test, Interview and Medical Examination.
