Banaras Hindu University MBA Admission 2017

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, invites applications for admission into its Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business and MBA in General Programmes offered in the Institute of Management Studies (Faculty of Management Studies) for the academic session 2017-18. 

Courses Offered and No. of Seats 

I. Master of Business Administration - (MBA) - 46 Seats (likely to be enhanced to 92) 
With specialization* in Marketing/HRM/Finance/Operations Management/Information Technology (as specified in the prevailing ordinance governing the conduct of the Program) 

II. Master of Business Administration - International Business (MBA - IB) - 46 Seats 
With specialization* in Marketing/HRM/Finance/Operations Management/Information Technology/Global Business Operations (as specified in the prevailing ordinance governing the conduct of the Program) (Minimum required strength in each elective group is 5 students) 

Eligibility Criteria 

For MBA and MBA-IB Programme shall be made through CAT: 
Candidates should have a bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern/ a degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or law/ a post graduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE 
For SC/ST candidates, 45% marks is required 
(Candidates should also fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements for appearing in CAT 2016) 
Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply provided they furnish a certificate from the Head of the Institution where he/she is pursuing the course of study, to the effect that he/she has appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying exam to be concluded on or before June 30 of the year of admission 

Selection Procedure 

Admission to the MBA and MBA IB Programmes of the faculty will be made on the basis of combined merit of the candidates in CAT conducted by IIM (50%), academic records (20%), group discussion and personal interview (30%) 

How to Apply for BHU MBA Admission 2017 

Candidates are required to download Information Bulletin and Admission Application Form from the website of the Institute (www.bhu.ac.in/fms) and submit duly filled in and signed application form along with all necessary enclosures (as detailed at point 7 below) 
Application fee is Rs.1500/- (Rs.800/- for SC/ST) to be payable through Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University, payable at Varanasi 
Required amount of application fee in the office of the Director, Institute of Management Studies at the address given below is 20th December 2016
