NBRC Gurgaon PhD and MSc in Neuroscience Courses 2017



National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) invites applications for admissions to PhD and M.Sc. (Neuroscience) Programmes for the academic year 2017. 


Important Dates


NBRC Application (Online) opens on: 01st week of November 2016

Last Date of Receipt of Application (Online/Offline) at NBRC: 31st March 2017 (for applicants from all channels)

Last Date of Receipt of requests for Hard Copy of Application Form: 15th February 2017


Courses Offered for Fellowships:


PhD (Neuroscience) - Students from diverse academic backgrounds are considered for this programme. Fellowship for Junior Research Fellows is Rs.25000/- per month and for Senior Research Fellows Rs.28000/- per month

For M.Sc. (Neuroscience) - NBRC is one of the few Institutes in the country to offer M.Sc. (Neuroscience) degree. Students are provided a fellowship of Rs.12000/- per month


Eligibility Criteria


For PhD (Neuroscience)

Candidates should have Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer applications/Pharmacy/ Veterinary Science/Psychology from a recognized Institute/University or a minimum of four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Technology/Medicine from a recognized Institute/University
Candidates appearing for final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply
Only the candidates with at least 55% (for SC/ST/PH candidates, 50%) marks or equivalent grade from secondary (10th) exam onwards will be considered.

For M.Sc. (Neuroscience)

Candidates should have Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences/Physics/ Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer applications/Pharmacy/Veterinary Science/Psychology/Engineering/Technology/Medicine from a recognized Institute/University
Candidates appearing for final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply
Only the candidates with at least 55% (for SC/ST/PH candidates, 50%) marks or equivalent grade from secondary (10th) exam onwards will be considered; candidates should calculate their percentage up to two decimal points without rounding off to determine their eligibility
