Important Dates
Submission
of Online Application Form: will start immediately after the publication of results of the Higher Secondary Examination, 2017 conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
Last
Date of Submission of Online Application Form: will close at 04-00 pm on 10/06/2017.
Publication
of Merit List: 16th June, 2017 after 02-30 p.m
Admission
of short listed candidates From: the applicants will be admitted on and from 21stJune, 2017 as per Merit Lists to be published prior to the dates of admission in individual subjects/courses.
Eligibility Criteria as in 2017
Those who passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination in
2012 and onwards (i.e., in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017) are eligible
to seek admission to 1st year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com [General (Pass)/ Honours
(Advance) / Major] courses provided he/she has also passed in English having
full marks not less than 100.
1.For
General (=Pass) Courses

Passed 10+2 level examination of
recognized Board/Council AND also passed in English having full marks not
less than 100
|
2.For Honours (=Advance) Courses
|
2.1. For candidates belonging to
General Category
|
· Passed in English having full marks not less than 100
AND
· Obtained at least 50% marks in
aggregate (average marks of best four subjects excluding Environmental
Studies/Education if it is compulsory subject) AND at least 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the 10+ 2 level
OR
· Obtained at least 55% marks in
the subject or related subject
OR
· Obtained 50% marks in aggregate (average marks of best four subjects
excluding Environmental Studies/Education if it is a compulsory subject) in
case the candidatehas
not studied the subject in
his/her previous qualifying examination (10+2 level Exam) provided all other
criteria are fulfilled

2.2. For candidates belonging to SC
/ST Categories
|
· Passed in English having full marks not less than 100
AND
· Obtained
at least 40% marks in aggregate (average marks of best four subjects
excluding Environmental Studies/Education if it is a compulsory subject)
· at least 40% marks in the subject or related subject at the 10+ 2 level
|
N.B. If the subject ‘Environmental Science’ is
studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it can be taken into account for
the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
