Applications are invited for admission to Class VI and Class IX in Sainik School Kazhakootam through All India Sainik School Entrance Examination to be held on 07th January 2018 (Sunday)
Age Limits
(a) For Admission to class VI: Born between 02nd Jul 2007 and 01st Jul 2008 (both days inclusive)
(b) For admission to class IX: Born between 02nd Jul 2004 and 01st Jul 2005 (both days inclusive) and should be studying in class VIII in a recognized school
Curriculum: 10+2 science stream CBSE
Exam Pattern: The Entrance Exam for 2018-19 will be OMR Sheet based on objective type question pattern
Exam Centres
The following Centres subject to a minimum number of 20 candidates applying per centre has been earmarked. (a) Thiruvananthapuram (Sainik School Kazhakootam) (b) Kottayam(c) Ernakulam (d) Kozhikode (e) Palakkad
Total No. of Seats
Class VI: 60 Seats
Class IX: 10 Seats
Vacancies may change based on actual availability of seats at the time of admission
Admission Procedure
The admissions will be made strictly in accordance with the merit in the Entrance Examination, Interview and Medical fitness of candidates. The school has not deputed any individual Institution for admission related coaching / training
Category wise Reservation of Seats: 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST, 25% for Defence category (Serving and Ex-service Personnel)
Scholarships
Different types of Scholarships are given by Central/State Governments depending upon the Parents’ monthly income (Details are available in the Prospectus)
Application Form
Application forms for admission will be available from the school website www.sainikschooltvm.nic.in from 17th October 2017 to 30th November 2017. Candidate will have the following options to submit the application form for Entrance Exam 2018
Directly from the School: The Prospectus cum application form can be purchased directly from the school office on cash payments on all working days between 9 AM to 1 PM and 3PM to 5 PM.
By Post facility: Prospectus & application form can be obtained from the school from 17th October 2017 to 30th November 2017 by sending a Demand Draft payable at Trivandrum drawn in favour of “Principal, Sainik School Kazhakootam” along with a request letter addressed Principal, Sainik School Kazhakootam, Sainik School PO, Trivandrum 695 585
