Bihar 1st Phase Assembly Election 2015



1st phase assembly elections in Bihar will be held today and voting will be held for 49 seats

BJP has fielded 27 candidates in the 49 seats followed by JD(U) 24, RJD 17, LJP 13, Congress 8 and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party 6 and Hindusthani Awam Morcha 3.

Out of 1,35,72,339 voters in 1st phase assembly election in Bihar, there are 72,37,253 men, 63,17,602 women and 405 of third gender.  Lakshamanan said out of a total of 583 candidates in the field, there are 54 women nominees.

Poonam Sinha may contest Bihar Assembly Election 2015


Wife of actor-turned-politician and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha and mother of actress Sonakshi Sinha may context Bihar assembly election 2015 on JD(U) ticket. Shatrughan Sinha is the MP from Patna Sahib, but his wife may join hands with its main rival JD(U).

As per reports, Poonam Sinha will contest elections either from Digha or Bankipur legislative seats of Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency.


Shatrughan Sinha and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are now seems to share a good relationship. Nitish Kumar belongs to JD (U).

Babul Supriyo Sworn In As Minister of States




Singer turned politician Babul Supriyo sworn in as Minister of State. In Narendra Modi’s first cabinet expansion. Babul Supriyo from West Bengal gets a berth in central cabinet. The 43 years old playback singer from Bollywood film industry contested in the last Lok Sabha Election from Asansol constituency and won the seat.

At 2.11 p.m. Babul Supriyo sworn in as Minister of State and he took the oath in English. Other ministers who took the oath are:

People of Asansol are very happy with the news and preparation to celebrate the event is going on. At present Babul Supriyo is the only minister from the state and definitely the most powerful BJP leader in West Bengal. Political analysts are smelling some changes in BJP of the state with including Babul Supriyo in the cabinet as minister of state.

Babul Supriyo may be in the Cabinet of Narendra Modi



Singer turned politician Babul Supriyo is in good book of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the last Lok Sabha Election, Babul Supriyo contested from Asansol as a BJP candidate and won. Since the campaigning days, Babul was in the limelight and Narendra Modi campaigned for him in Asansol. Babul Supriyo succeeded in gaining the faith of people of industrial town Asansol. During the formation of cabinet, rumour was that Babul Supriyo may become minister.

The latest news is that Babul Supriyo was called up by the prime minister Narendra Modi and Modiji has asked the singer turned politician to meet him at his residence. If Babul Supriyo gets a berth in the cabinet, he will be the third BJP minister from the state. Previously Satyabrata Mukhopadhyay and the late Tapanh Sikdar became central ministers in in Atal Bihari Vajpayee led cabinet.

BJP central body is keeping a close watch on West Bengal for 2016 assembly election in the state. If Babul Supriyo becomes a central minister, it will motivate the BJP leaders and workers of the state.

Jharkhand Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Election Schedule

 

The Election Commission of India today announced the schedule for Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections. The election will be completed in five phase and the election in Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir will start on 25 November 2014. Resuly of both the states will be declared on 23 December. The by-election for three constituencies of Delhi will also be held on 25 November.

Jharkhand has 81 assembly seats and Jammu and Kashmir has 87 assembly seats.

The five-phase assembly election in Jharjhand and Jammu & Kashmir will be held on 25November 25, 2 December, 9 December, 14 December and 20 December.

Shashi Tharoor removed from the post of Congress spokesman

 

Former Union minister and controversial Shashi Tharoor is removed from the position of Congress spokesman. A press release issued from Indian National Congress said Shahsi Tharoor has been removed on the recommendation of the AICC disciplinary committee.

Kerala Congress recently sent a report against Shashi Tharoor over his Modi praise. Recently Shashi is facing another odd situation - his wife SunandaPushkar had died due to poisoning.

Aam Aadmi Party - New political party launched in India


Arvind Kejriwal, once close associate of Anna Hazare launched a new political party on 26 November 2012 at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Proposed name is Aam Aadmi Party  and headquarter of the party is at New Delhi. Website of the new Indian political party is: aamaadmiparty.org


Arvind Kejriwal was a close associate of Anna Hazare in his apolitical movement against corruption in government level works. Due to many reasons Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare split became unavoidable. Arvind Kejriwal with around 300 founding members launched the political party at Constitution Club and at that Arvind Kejriwal proposed the name of the party which got acceptance from the members.

Mission and vision of Aam Aadmi Party


Aam Aadmi Party has promised the following changes if voted to power:

    Corrupt ministers will be jailed within six months.
    Jan Lokpal will be passed in Parliament within 15 days.

At the beginning of Aam Aadmi Party on 26 November 2012, former law minister Shanti Bhushan donated Rs. 1 crore to the party fund and nearly Rs. 1.6 lakh was collected from people.

Jangipur Lok Sabha by-election on 10 October 2012



By-election of JangipurLok Sabha seat which is presently vacant will be on 10 October 2012. The seat is vacant as Pranab Mukherjee resigned from the seat. Pranab Mukherjee is the present President of India. Pranab Mukherjee won the Jangipur Lok Sabha seat twice, in 2004 and 2009.


CPI (M) has announced their candidate for the Jangipur by-election, Mujaffar Hossen is the CPI (M) candidate. Hossen is a CPI (M) state committee member from Murshidabad. He is the general secretary of the West Bengal Adivasi O Lokoshilpi Sansad. In 1996, Hossen contested the assembly election against Adhir Ranjan Choudhury and was defeated.


Important dates related to the Jangipur by-election


Last date for filing nomination: 22 September 2012

Last date for withdrawal of nominations: 26 September 2012.

Result of Jangipur by-election: 13 October 2012.

It is expected that Trinamool Congress will not field its candidate for the Jangipur by-election. Abhijit Mukherjee, son of President Pranab Mukherjee and sitting MLA of Nalhati has expressed his desire to contest from Jangipur. Congress is yet to announce their candidate’s name.
