Dr. Shashi Panja got 55,785 votes while Sandipan Biswas got 33,235 votes.

In 2016 West Bengal assembly election, Dr. Shashi Panja of Trinamool Congress defeated her nearest rival Piyali Pal of Forward Bloc to win the assembly seat.

Dr. Shashi Panja got 53,507 votes while Piyali Pal got 40,352 votes.

In 2011 West Bengal assembly election, Dr. Shashi Panja of Trinamool Congress defeated her nearest rival Jiban Saha of Forward Bloc to win the assembly seat.

Dr. Shashi Panja got 72905 votes while Jiban Saha got 45868 votes. Minadebi Purohit of BJP got 17161 votes.
