In 2021 West Bengal assembly election, Joydeb Haldar of Trinamool Congress won Mandirbazar   assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Dilip Kumar Jatua of BJP. Joydeb Haldar got 95,834 votes and Dilip Kumar Jatua got 72,342 votes.

In 2016 West Bengal assembly election, Joydeb Haldar of Trinamool Congress won Mandirbazar   assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Dr. Sarat Halder of CPI (M). Joydeb Haldar got 94,339 votes, Dr. Sarat Halder got 69,400 votes.

In 2011 West Bengal assembly election, Joydeb Haldar of Trinamool Congress won Mandirbazar   assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Dr. Sarat Halder of CPI (M). Joydeb Haldar got 83,524 votes, Dr. Sarat Halder got 64,883 votes and Goutam Naskar of BJP got 3,209 votes.
In 2006 West Bengal Bidhan Sabha election, Dr. Tapati Saha of CPI (M) defeated her nearest rival Choudhury Mohan Jatua of Trinamool Congress.

In 2001 West Bengal Bidhan Sabha election, Trinamool Congress nominated candidate Choudhury Mohan Jatua defeated his nearest rival Nikunja Paik of CPI (M).
