West Bengal assembly election results of Ausgram constituency



Constituency number: 273

In 2016 West Bengal assembly election, Abhedananda Thakur of AITC won Ausgram assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Basudeb Mete of  CPI (M). Abhedananda Thakur got 90,450votes and Basudeb Mete got 84,198 votes.

In 2011 assembly election, Basudeb Mete of  CPI (M) won Ausgram assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Chanchal Kumar Mondal of  Congress. Basudeb Mete got 90,863 votes, Chanchal Kumar Mondal got 67,767 votes and Shanti Karmakar of BJP got 7,663 votes.
Kartick Chandra Bag of CPI (M) won this assembly seat in assembly elections 2006 defeating his nearest rival Chhaya Chowdhuri of Trinamool Congress. This is the consecutive three times win for CPI (M) candidate Kartick Chandra Bag from Ausgram assembly seat.

In 2001 assembly elections, CPI (M) nominated candidate Kartick Chandra Bag defeated his nearest rival Sukumar Mondal of Trinamool Congress.

In 1996 assembly elections, Kartick Chandra Bag of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Sukumar Saha of Congress.

In 1991 assembly elections, Sreedhar Malik of CPI (M) won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Chhaya Rani Chowdhury of Congress and with this win CPI (M) nominated candidate Sreedhar Malik recorded fourth time winning from this assembly seat consecutively from 1972 to 1991.

In 1987 assembly elections, Sreedhar Malik of CPI (M) won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Biswambhar Mondal of Congress.

In 1982 assembly elections, Sreedhar Malik of CPI (M) won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Chanchal Kumar Modal of Congress.

In 1977 assembly elections, Sreedhar Malik of CPI (M) won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Madan Lohar of Janata Party.

In 1972 assembly elections, Sridhar Malik of CPI (M) won this  Ausgram assembly seat.

In 1971 assembly elections, Sridhar Malik of CPI (M) won this assembly seat.
