West Bengal assembly poll results of Keshiary constituency



Constituency number: 223

In 2016 West Bengal assembly election, Paresh Mandi of AITC won Keshiary assembly seat.

In 2011 West Bengal assembly election, Biram Mandi of CPI (M) won Keshiary assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Shyam Charan Mandi of Trinamool Congress. Biram Mandi got 76,976 votes, Shyam Charan Mandi got 75,939 votes and Dilip Routh of BJP got 6,651 votes.
From 1982 to 2006, Maheswar Murmu won this assembly seat for consecutive six times under the banner of CPI (M). Brief results are as follows.

In 2006 state assembly polls, Maheswar Murmu of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Shyam Charan Mandi of Trinamool Congress.

In 2001 West Bengal assembly polls, CPI (M) nominated candidate Maheswar Murmu won this seat defeating Shyam Charan Mandi of Trinamool Congress.

In 1996 state assembly polls, Maheswar Murmu of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Gouri Tudu of Congress.

In 1991 state assembly polls, Maheswar Murmu of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Rekha Kishu of Congress.

In 1987 state assembly polls, Maheswar Murmu of CPI (M) won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Budhan Chandra Tudu of Congress.

In 1982 state assembly polls, Maheswar Murmu of CPI (M) won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Budhan Chandra Tudu of Congress.

In 1977 state assembly polls, Khudiram Singh of CPI (M) won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Budhan Chandra Tudu of Congress.

From 1967 to 1972, Budhan Chandra Tudu of Congress won in this assembly seat in all the four assembly polls.
