In the 2016 assembly elections in West Bengal, Nagendranath Roy of AIFB defeated his nearest rival Parimal Burman of Trinamool Congress and won the Cooch Behar Uttar assembly seat.

In the 2011 assembly elections in West Bengal, Nagendranath Roy of AIFB defeated his nearest rival Prasenjit Burman of Trinamool Congress and won the Cooch Behar Uttar assembly seat.
