After new delimitation, constituency number of this assembly seat is 249


In 2011 state assembly elections in West Bengal, Debalina Hembram of CPI (M) defeated her nearest rival Falguni Hembram of Trinamool Congress and won the Ranibandh assembly seat.

In the 2006 state assembly poll, Deblina Hembram of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Aditya Kisku of JKP (N).

In the 2001 state assembly poll, Makar Tudu of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Gopinath Saren of JMM.

In the 1996 state assembly poll, Deblina Hembram of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Anil Hansda of INC.

In the 1991 state assembly poll, Arati Hembram of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Sudarshan Baskey of INC.

In the 1987 state assembly poll, Rampada Mandi of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Chandra Mohan Murmu of INC.

In the 1982 state assembly poll, Rampada Mandi of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Jaleswar Saren of INC.

In the 1977 state assembly poll, Suchand Saren of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Jaleswar Saren of INC.
