Important Information


ADMISSION TO B.A./B.Sc. COURSE :  2016 - 2017 (ONLY FOR BOYS)

1. Candidates can apply for as many subjects as he chooses. Students passing H.S./ equivalent before 2015 cannot apply. Separate Application Forms must be used for separate Honours subjects.

Cost of Application Form for each subject            :          Rs 250/-

(Rupees Two Hundred fifty only) to be paid online or by Bank Challan (Rs.250/-+Rs.50/- Bank Charges)

3.      Issue & Submission of Application Forms (Online only) :

a)   For students other than CBSE board : 16.05.2016 to 30.05.2016

Note: All the formalities including online payment and off-line payment through bank challan to be completed within this period.

b)    For CBSE students :

CBSE students of 2016 will apply online between 27 May and 3 June 2016 even if their results are not published by 3 June 2016. They will take the admission test as per the schedule. Their candidature will be cancelled if on publication of CBSE results it is found that a candidate has not fulfilled the eligibility criteria set by the college for admission to honours courses. Fees will not be refunded under such circumstances.

CBSE applicants must upload their board results as soon as the results are published and latest by 8 June 2016.



  
4. The students will be required to upload recent passport size photograph (JPEG format, 20kb to 25kb in size); 10+2 marksheet (PDF format, 220 kb to 250kb in size); physically handicapped certificate (where applicable: PDF format, 220kb to 250kb in size) and cast certificate (where applicable: PDF format,220kb to 250kb in size).

Note: Since the admission tests for History & Statistics and Sanskrit & Computer Science on 7th June are to be held simultaneously, applicants opting for both these combinations are required to meet the Principal half an hour before the commencement of their examination. A separate schedule will be arranged for their second option.

8.        Full Marks and duration of tests:

A)    All subjects except English:

Full marks: 50;        Duration of test: 1 hour 30 minutes

B)  English:

Full marks: 50;         Duration of test: 2 hours


9.      List for provisional selection will be prepared on the basis of :

A.    Physics : Marks obtained in Admission Test out of 50 will be converted to marks out of 200 + Marks obtained in 10+2 Physics (100) + Marks obtained in 10+2 Mathematics (100) = Total 400

* Calculator is not allowed.

B.    Chemistry : Marks obtained in Admission Test out of 50 will be converted to marks out of 200 + Marks obtained in 10+2 Chemistry (100) + Marks obtained in 10+2 Physics (50) + Marks obtained in 10+2 Mathematics (50) = Total 400

* Calculator is allowed.

C.    Mathematics : Marks obtained in Admission Test out of 50 will be converted to marks out of 200 + Marks obtained in 10+2 Mathematics (100) + Marks obtained in 10+2 Physics (50) + Marks obtained in 10+2 English (50)= Total 400

* Calculator is not allowed.

D.    Statistics : 80% weight on admission test + 20% weight on 10+2 Mathematics marks = Total 100

* Calculator is allowed. 



E.  Computer Science : Marks obtained in Admission Test (50) + Aggregate of the best 4 subjects in 10+2 (50) = Total 100

* Calculator is allowed.

F.      Economics : Marks obtained in Admission Test (50) + Aggregate of the best  4

subjects in 10+2      (50) = Total 100

* Calculator is allowed.

G.    English : 80% weight on admission test + 20% weight on 10+2 English = Total 100

H.    History : Marks obtained in Admission Test (50) = Total 50

I.       Sanskrit : Marks obtained in Admission Test (50) + Aggregate of the best 4 subjects in 10+2 (50) = Total 100
