Honours and Pass Courses Details




The college offers Semester-wise 3 year B.A./B.Sc. Honours and General degree Courses of studies under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) under University of Calcutta, a list of which along with the subject combinations is given below. Following points are to be noted :
  • For each Honours course two general subjects must have to be taken as subject combination.
  • For each General course three subjects must have to be taken as subject combination.
  • Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC) are compulsory for all disciplines. This course consists of two courses
i) AECC1: Communicative English / MIL (Bengali/Hindi)
ii) AECC2: Environmental Studies.

Eligibility Criteria



 

 For Honours Degree (General & OBC Categories)

50% marks in aggregate with 45% marks in the subject or related subject (TABLE-1)* at the previous qualifying examination.

OR

55% marks in the subject or related subject (TABLE-1)* at the previous qualifying examination and pass marks in aggregate.

OR

50% marks in aggregate in case the candidate opting Honours in the subject which is not included in her previous qualifying examination.

For Honours Degree (SC/ST Category)

40% marks in aggregate.

OR

40% marks in the subject and pass marks in aggregate.

OR

40% marks in the subject or related subject (TABLE-1)* at the previous qualifying examination.

For General Degree Courses

Applicant must qualify in H.S. or equivalent examination.

Candidates who passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent Examination in 2015 and onwards are eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the above-mentioned Courses of Studies provided she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
