Praktan Rituparna Sengupta and Jio Filmfare East Awards 2017

Rituparna Sengupta received her second Filmfare award for film Praktan (Critics' Best Actor - Female). Last time Ritu received the award for film Alik Sukh.
Ritu holding the Award

Rituparna Sengupta is very happy and said: "Honestly though, I wished Praktan had won many more awards. It deserved it. The film has changed lives, the way lovers look at relationships, the meaning of marriage for many. And that is my biggest takeaway from the movie. Imagine when a movie you have worked in has that kind of an effect on the audience's mind? It's so amazing!

The fact that my portrayal dominated people's mind and ruled their hearts is, in itself, a big achievement. The film not only saw huge commercial success but also won over the audience. I really wish it had won the award for the best film and the best screenplay too. Praktan had a deep impact on its audience's mind. I'm very happy and would like to congratulate the whole team for it!"
