2018 Holi Special Trains Between Saharsa and Bhagalpur

To manage extra rush of passengers, East Central Railway will run Holi Special trains between Saharsa and Bhagalpur.

Train No 05502 Saharsa – Bhagalpur Holi Special train will start from Saharsa station  daily at 8.15 am between 15 February and 31 March. This train will have General Second Class.

Train No 05501 Saharsa – Bhagalpur Holi Special will start from Bhagalpur station daily at 3 pm between 15 February and 31 March. This train will have General Second Class.

2018 Holi Special Train Between Barauni and Lokmanya Tilak

To manage extra rush of passenger during Holi Festival 2018, East Central Railway will run a weekly  holi special train  (05539/05540) between Barauni and Lokmanya Tilak from 06 March to 27 March. Details of the train schedule and route are given below.

It will leave Barauni at 5.15 pm every Tuesday and reach Mumbai at 4.10am on Thursday. On its return journey, it will leave the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai at 2.20 pm every Thursday and reach Barauni at 2.30 pm on Saturday.

Composition: The train will be of 20 coaches — two AC three-tier coaches, 10 sleeper coaches, six general coaches and two brake vans. The train will run on the Samastipur-Muzaffarpur-Sonepur-Mumbai route.

To manage extra rush of passenger during Holi Festival 2018, East Central Railway will run a Pune-Patna holi special train (01347/01348) from 26 February to 05 March 5.. Details of the train schedule and route are given below.

The holi special train will leave Pune at 8.20 pm every Monday and reach the Patna Junction at 8.30 am on Wednesday. On its return journey, the train will leave the Patna Junction at 5.45 pm every Wednesday and reach Pune at 4.05 am on Friday.

To manage extra rush of passenger during Holi Festival 2018, East Central Railway will run a weekly  holi special train (02365/02366) between Patna Junction and Anand Vihar from 04 March to 29 March. Details of the train schedule and route are given below.

From 04 March to 29 March, the train will leave the Patna Junction at 8.25 pm every Sunday and Thursday and reach Anand Vihar the next day at 2.20 pm. On its return journey, it will leave Anand Vihar at 6.45 pm every Monday and Friday and reach the Patna Junction the next day at 12.30 pm.

To manage extra rush of passenger during Holi Festival 2018, East Central Railway will run a weekly  holi special train (05535/05536) between Barauni and Anand Vihar from 03 March to 31 March. Details of the train schedule and route are given below.

The holi special train will leave Barauni at 10 pm every Saturday and reach Anand Vihar the next day at 9.45 pm. On its return journey, it will leave Anand Vihar at 11.45 pm every Sunday and reach Barauni the following day at 11.30pm. 

The holi special train will run on the Samastipur-Muzaffarpur-Sonepur-Chhapra route.

The 04042 Anand Vihar Terminal-Jay Nagar Bi-Weekly Summer Special Express train will start from Anand Vihar Terminal at 12.55 p.m. o­n every Wednesday and Sunday from 30.04.2017 to 28.06.2017 to reach Jay Nagar at 01.30 p.m. the next day (18 trips).

In the return direction, 04041Jay Nagar- Anand Vihar Terminal Bi-Weekly Summer Special Express train will start from Jay Nagar at 03.30 p.m. o­n every Thursday and Monday from 01.05.2017 to 29.06.2017 to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 04.30 p.m. the next day (18 trips).

Comprising of one AC three tier, Nine Sleeper class , Six general class and Two second class cum luggage van coaches.

Opening of New Two MEMU Trains in Patna and Gaya section of East Central Railway

To fulfill passengers’ demand and with an aim to clearing passengers rush in this route,  two MEMU trains will be inaugurated on Patna – Gaya section by the East Central Railway GM,  Madhuresh Kumar,  06/03/2013 at Patna station. Previously the journey time of a MEMU train was about three hours. The speed limit has also been increased up to 100 Kmp so as to now it will take half an hour less than before.

This train will leave Patna Jn. at 20.00 hrs. The train will reach at Gaya Jn. at 22.45 hrs,

 MEMU Train No.63259

This train will leave Patna Jn. at 22.30 hrs. The train will reach at Gaya Jn. at 01.15 hrs. on the next day.

Due to introduction of the above two trains the Train No. 63258 /63260 will leave at Gaya Jn. at 19.00 hrs. and 22.00 hrs. respectively.
