In 2016 assembly election in West Bengal, Rabindranath Bhattacharjee of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Rabin Dev of CPI (M) and won the Singur assembly seat.

In 2011 assembly election in West Bengal, Rabindranath Bhattacharjee of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Dr. Asit Das of CPI (M) and won the Singur assembly seat.


 In 2006 assembly election in West Bengal, Rabindranath Bhattacharjee of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Srikanta Chattopadhyay of CPI (M) and won the Singur assembly seat.
