In 2021 state assembly elections in West Bengal, Chandana Bauri of BJP defeated her nearest rival Sontosh Kumar Mondal of Trinamool Congress and won the Saltora assembly seat. Chandana Bauri got 91,648 votes and Sontosh Kumar Mondal got 87,503 votes.
In 2016 state assembly elections in West Bengal, Swapan Bauri of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Sasthi Charan Bauri of CPI (M) and won the Saltora assembly seat.
