Alia University Admission 2015 in B.A. and M.A. Course Urdu

Aliah University introduces 3 year BA (Hons.) and MA in Urdu from 2015-2016 session. An admission test will be held for admission to UG and PG level on 02.08.2015 (Sunday) in the Department of Urdu, Park Circus campus of the University, 17, Gorachand Road, Kolkata -700 014.

Applications from the eligible candidates in the prescribed format (can be downloadable from the University website  www.aliah.ac.in) must reach to The Chairman, AUAT-2015, Aliah University New Town Campus, IIA/27, New Town, Kolkata-700156 by 30.07.2015, 5:00 PM (in person).

Eligibility: Candidates appearing for 3-year B. A. (Hons.) in Urdu must pass the final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHSE), West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education (WBBME), Central Board of Secondary Education (New Delhi) (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC), etc. They must have studied Urdu having at least 100 Marks in total in their 10+2 level and has to secure at least 45% in aggregate with minimum 50% in Urdu.

Candidates appearing for 2-year M. A. in Urdu must have passed the final examination of the three-year degree programme with Urdu as Honours/Major subject having 45% marks in Honours/Major from any recognized University. Candidates who have passed Part I and Part II examinations by 2014 with at least 45% marks or equivalent grade taken together in the Honours/Major subjects from any recognized University are also eligible to apply. In case Degree result is not declared, the admission will be given provisionally and his/her admission will be cancelled if he/she fails to secure an aggregate of 45% marks in the final result of the Degree Programme.

Age Limit: For 3-year B. A. (Hons.) in Urdu maximum age limit is 22 years as on 01-07-2015. For 2-year M. A. in Urdu maximum age limit is 25 years as on 01.07.2015.

Application Fee: Rs. 500/- for Male candidates, Rs. 300/- for female candidates. Fee is to be deposited through Demand Draft (of any bank) of requisite amount drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Aliah University” payable at Kolkata with the application form.

Date of Examination: 02.08.2015 (Sunday), at Park Circus Campus, 17, Gorachand Road (Behind Lady Brabourne College), Kolkata-14. No Admit Card will be issued to the candidates. The candidates must come to the examination venue on 02.08.2015, 10:30 A.M. with the acknowledgement received at the time of submission of the form.

Time of Examination: 11-00 A.M. to 01-00 P. M.

Publication of Merit list: The selection will strictly be on merit. The merit list for both UG and PG level will likely to be published on 05.08.2015 (Wednesday), 4:00 PM at the University’s website.
