Major Subjects:- Advertising Sales Promotion and Sales Management

General Information:

Admissions to the 1st Year of the three-year B.A./B.Sc. (Honours and Major) Courses for 2016 will be conducted online only.

Online application forms will be available on the site from 07.07.2016 to 18.07.2016 (both days inclusive). Online submission will remain open for 24 hours during this period. Admission forms can be accessed with the help of any browser.

A student may apply for more than one Honours or Major subjects by filling up separate forms. Separate payments are to be made for separate applications.

Merit List will be published on this site on 23rd July, 2016.


PAYMENT OF APPLICATION FEES

Application Fee is Rs. 200/- + Bank Charges
Name of the bank : State Bank of India (all branches)
The last date of payment of Application Fees is  18.07.2016  
Date of Admission: 26.07.2016 

Candidate should not pay the application fee Rs.200/- after 18.07.2016. If any branch of SBI receives the application fee after 18.07.2016, college will consider the form as cancelled.

Eligibility Criteria



  1. A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent Examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3 year B.A/B.Sc.(Hons./Major) Course of Studies provided she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
     
  2. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject "Environmental Science" is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
     
  3. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe Community and Sports person taking up Honours Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
     
  4. A candidate shall be allowed to take up the subjects(s) under heading "A" if she had passed the subjects(s) under heading "B" at the previous qualifying examination:

  1. Some Special conditions for admission to Honours Courses as Follows:
    1. Economics: A candidates shall be allowed to take up Honours in Economics if she has passed in Mathematics at the H.S. Examination (10+2) conducted by the West Bengal Council of H.S. Education or its equivalent Examination in Mathematics.
    2. Mathematics: A candidate shall be allowed to take up Honours in Mathematics if she has passed in Mathematics at the previous qualifying examination. A candidate who has passed in Business Mathematics is not eligible for admission to the Mathematics Honours Course.
    3. Chemistry: A candidate shall be allowed to take up Honours in Chemistry if she has passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the previous qualifying examination.
       
  2. Candidate opting for any elective subject must pass in the subject provided she had that subject at +2 level.
