Publication of the merit list : for Hons.Courses the only meritlistwill
be published on 09 June 2016(After 3 pm).
After publication of the merit list Candidates with any disputehave
to come to college office with relevant documents on 10.06.2016,
11.06.2016 and 13.06.2016 between 11a.m. and 2pm. (Required
documents: Hard-copy of online application form and the receipt of
the payment of the application fee).
Admission in Honours Courses:
Admission of Honours courses will be done only through
counseling and the counseling will be held at College Premises. All
the candidates having their names in honours merit list haveto be
present in the college premises on the date, at the time mentioned
below:
(A) Counseling of Bengali Honours and Political Science
Honours will be done on 14.06.2016 between 12 noon and 3 p.m.,
(B) Counseling of English Honours , Philosophy Honours and
Sanskrit Honours will be done on 15.06.2016 between 12 noon
and 3 p.m.,
( C) Counseling of History Honours , Geography Honours and
B.Com(Accountancy) Honours will be done on 16.06.2016 between 12
noon and 3 p.m.
During counseling the candidates hould bring
(a) one copy of
printed filled up form along with all testimonials, i.e., MP or equivalent
marksheet, HS or equivalent marksheet, MP Admit Card, HS Admit Card
and Registration certificate, Caste Certificate if any, and school leaving
certificate, in original,
(b) one copy of duplicate of each of above,
(c) three copies of passport size coloured unattested photos,
(d) Presence of the candidate is must,
(e) Admission in Honours courses will be made strictly as per intake
capacity stipulated by the University of Burdwan,
(f) Any wrong information submitted during filling up of form will lead
to cancellation of the application
Eligibility Criteria
1. For admission in General courses(B.A., B.Com) the minimum criteria
is pass marks in H.S. or equivalent examination.
2. For admission in B.Com. Honours in Accountancy, minimum criteria is 45% marks in aggregate in Commerce stream in H.S. or equivalent exam excluding Environmental Studies. For students from Science stream the aggregate should be at least 50% (excluding the marks of Environmental Studies) and 50% marks in Mathematics. No candidate with Arts in H.S. or equivalent exam will be allowed to take admission in Commerce General or Honours.
3. For admission in B.A. Honours in Arts, minimum criteria is 45% marks in aggregate in Arts stream in H.S. or equivalent exam (excluding the marks of Environmental Studies)and 45% in the subject applied for. For students from Science stream the aggregate should be at least 50% (excluding the marks of Environmental Studies) and 45% marks in the subject applied for.
4. A candidate can apply for more than one Honours subjects and in that case he/she has to pay Rs.100/- for each subject separately.
5. For candidates who passed H.S. or eqivalent exam between 2013and 2015, 5% marks will be deducted from the aggregate during preparation of merit list.
6. Each candidate should read thoroughly the subject combinations available in the website.
7. Reservation policies(SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH) of the Government will be followed.
8. Online Submissionof application form does not guarantee admission.
9. Admission will be made strictly as per intake capacity stipulated by the University of Burdwan.
