This time 57 students are in the top ten in secondary school.

Chandrachur Sen was the first. School Name: Rambhola High School, District: Cooch Behar. Marks Obtained: 693 (99 percent).

Second Samyapriya Guru. School Name: Purulia District School, District Purulia. Marks Obtained: 692 (98.96 percentile).

3 candidates got third place. Udayan Prasad, student of Balurghat High School, South Dinajpur, Pushpita Bashuri, student of New Integrated Government High School, Birbhum. And Nairritaranjan Pal, a student of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Vidyalaya in South 24 Parganas, scored 691 (98.71 percent).

Tapojyoti Mandal, a student of Ramakrishna Mission Multipurpose School, Kamarpukur, Hooghly, secured the fourth position. Marks obtained (98.57 percent). Arghydeep Basak, a student of Paruldanga Nasratpur High School in East Burdwan, has secured the fifth position. Marks obtained are 689 (98.43 percent).

Sixth place is occupied by four candidates. Krishanu Saha, a student of Balurghat High School in South Dinajpur, Mohammad Shahabuddin Ali, a student of Mojampur High School in Malda, Kaustav Sahu, a student of Medinipur Collegiate School in West Medinipur, Olive Gayen, a student of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Vidyalaya in South 24 Parganas, scored 688 (98.29 percent).

There are seven candidates in the seventh position. Three candidates from South Dinajpur. Avrit Ghatak and Arpita Ghosh of Balurghat Girls High School, Satwat Dey of Balurghat High School secured 687 (98.17 per cent). Apart from this, Artrik Shaw, a student of Sarojini Devi Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Birbhum, Supam Kumar Roy, a student of Gnandeep Vidyapeeth High School, East Medinipur, Kausthav Mal, a student of Vivekananda Ashram Education, and Alekhya Maiti, a student of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission School, South 24 Parganas also secured the seventh position.

There are four candidates in the eighth position. Indrani Chakraborty, student of Burdwan Vidyarthi Bhavan Girls High School, East Burdwan, Debjyoti Bhattacharya, student of Burdwan Municipal High School, Tanuka Pal, student of Medinipur Mission Girls School, West Midnipur, Hridi Mallick, student of Krishnanagar Collegiate School, Nadia. Their marks are 686 (98 percent).

There are seven candidates in the ninth place. Sayak Shasmal, Sagar Jana of Ramakrishna Shiksha Mandir High School, East Medinipur, Sagnik Ghatak, student of Vivekananda Mission Ashram School, Jishnu Das, student of Chakdah Ramlal Academy, Nadia, Ritabrat Nath, student of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission, South 24 Parganas, Ritvik Dutt, Sayandeep Manna, student of Sarada Vidyapeeth High School, Shyampur Aranyadev Barman, a high school student, scored 685 marks (97.86 percent).

There are 15 candidates in tenth place. Bhumi Sarkar, student of Raiganj Girls High School, North Dinajpur, Vishal Mandal, student of Mojampur High School, Malda, Sauvik Dutta, student of Bankura District School, Bakura, Anish Konar, student of Katwa Kashiramdas Institute, East Burdwan, Arnab Biswas, student of Paruldanga Nasratpur High School, East Burdwan, Burdwan Vidyarthi Bhavan, East Burdwan. Sattala Nath, a student of Girls High School, ELIT Co-Education School, Hooghly Student Nilankan Mandal, student of Taldangra Phulmati High School, Bankura, Soumik Khan, student of Gar Raipur High School, Agniv Patra, student of Medinipur Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidya Bhavan, West Medinipur, Sachad Paria, student of Contai Model Institution, East Medinipur, Ritam Das, Shubhrakanti of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission, South 24 Parganas Jana, Ishan Biswas of Sarada Vidyapeeth High School. Marks obtained are 684 (97.71 percent).

In the current year, the pass rate in secondary is 83.31 percent.


In the current year, the number of candidates enrolled in the secondary examination was 9 lakh 23 thousand 636. 7 lakh 65 thousand 252 students have passed the exam.

The girls beat the boys in the secondary examination.

Pass percentage maximum in Kalimpong followed by Purba Medinipur and Kolkata.

This year's Madhyamik results are going to be published on Thursday morning, May 2. Madhya Shiksha Parshad President Ramanuja Gangopadhyay is going to officially announce the results through a press conference at 9 am. Candidates will be able to check the result directly after some time.

The merit list of the first 10 will be published on Thursday, May 2. After this, the results will be available on the board's own website from 9:45 am. Apart from this, the result can also be seen through SMS and mobile app. Marksheets will be distributed to the schools from 10 am in the various camp offices of the board, so that the marksheets and certificates reach the students quickly.

How to see the results?

1. Candidates must first visit the board's own website www.wbbse.wb.gov.in or http://wbresults.nic.in.

2. After that you have to enter the result link given on the homepage.

3. This time the result can be seen on the screen only after submitting the necessary information including roll number, date of birth of the examinees.

4. The result can be downloaded and printed out for future reference.


The Madhyamik exam started on February 2 due to Lok Sabha elections this year. Ends on February 12. This year there were a total of 9,23,013 candidates out of which 3,96,276 were male students and 4,79,837 female students. The examination of 48 people was canceled for the crime of entering the examination center with a mobile phone or forgery. This year's exam started from 9.45 am.
