Baruipur Paschim is a new constituency after 2006.
In 2021 West Bengal assembly election, Biman Banerjee of Trinamool Congress won Baruipur Paschim assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Debopam Chottopadhyay of BJP. Biman Banerjee got 121,006 votes and Debopam Chottopadhyay got 59,096 votes.
In 2016 West Bengal assembly election, Biman Banerjee of Trinamool Congress won Baruipur Paschim assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Safiuddin Khan of CPI (M). Biman Banerjee got 99,949 votes and Safiuddin Khan got 63,413 votes.
In 2011 assembly election, Biman Banerjee of Trinamool Congress won Baruipur Paschim assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Kanak Kanti Paria of CPI (M). Biman Banerjee got 88,187 votes, Kanak Kanti Paria got 56,299 votes and Raneswar Das of BJP got 4,191 votes.
