Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC) was established in 1998 at Panchpota of Garia, just 1 km away from Garia rail station. Netaji Subhash Engineering College has the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and this Engineering College is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).

In 2005 this Engineering College has got the prestigious accreditation from theNational Board of Accreditation (NBA) for B.Tech coursesin Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering & Electrical Engineering and in 2008 for Information Technology course. Netaji Subhash Engineering College has received an educational grant from the World Bank in Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP).
