India Posts will recruitnumber of persons as Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants, Postal Assistant (Saving Bank Control Organization/ Foreign Post Organization/ Mail Motor Service/ Railway Mail Service) in different state’s postal circles. Details about the recruitment is given below.
Essential qualification required for candidates: Candidates must be Higher Secondary pass with minimum 60% marks. This is for general candidates. English must be a compulsory subject in school level. Minimum marks for OBC candidates is 55% and for SC and ST candidates the minimum marks is 45%.
Knowledge of local language is also necessary.
Age limits: Candidates must be within 18 to 27 years as on last date of application.
Pay scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 with Grade pay of Rs.2400 plus other allowances.
Candidates have to collect application form from Post Office of respective circle. Cost of each form is Rs.50/. Last date of collecting application form is 25 September 2012.
Examination Fee is Rs.200/- and to be deposited in the Post Office of the Circle applied. No examination fee for SC, ST, PH and women candidates.
Filled up application form should reach ‘Direct Recruitment Cell, New Delhi HO, New Delhi—110001’ via Speed Post or Registered Post.
