Bengali singer Abhijit trying to boost Bengal tourism through Durga Puja 2012 theme


  West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is trying very hard to bring West Bengal in the map of tourism. During the last one year she has succeeded to draw tourists towards North Bengal specially Darjeeling.

Another Bengali celebrity, singer Abhijit is trying to help the state to draw more tourists through his ability. Lokhandwala Sarvajanin Durgotsav is famous as Abhijit’s Durga Puja. The organisers of Lokhandwala Sarvajanin Durgotsav Samiti will promote Bengal’s tourism potentiality during this Durga Puja. The organizers are keeping in touch with the state government. Theme of Lokhandwala Sarvajanin Durgotsav 2012 is Bengal tourism.


Durga Puja committee of Lokhandwala Sarvajanin Durgotsav has submitted their proposal to state tourism minister Rachhpal Singh and need the help of state government in execution of their dream theme.  It is learnt that Lokhandwala Sarvajanin Durgotsav 2012 will highlight tourismin Darjeeling, Dooars, Digha, Sundarbans and other tourist attraction places. They will also promote the state's handloom, handicraft and famous Bengali cuisine.
