Count down for state assembly polls has been started. According to political observers, Left Front is really facing a challenge from the opposition. For the first time in Left Front rule, they also believe that assembly polls 2011 is a tough one. Sale of Bengali daily news paper has shoot up. Surfing the Bengali channels in TV has increased remarkably. Sweet makers of Krishnagar are also very busy. Two most famous sweets of Krishnagar are 'sarpuria' and 'sarbhaja' but recently sale of tricolour rasgullas have increased. Special sweets on Trinamool Congress logo, flowers and grass made of khoya is being sold at Rs. 100 and tricolour rasgullas are sold at Rs. 5 each piece.
Sweets on CPI (M) logo is also prepared by the sweet makers of Krishnagar and selling price is same as Trinamool logo sweet.
