Number of vacancies: 1652 of which general candidates is 528, SC candidates – 300, ST candidates – 506, OBC – 318.
Essential Qualification: Candidates should have completed general nursing and midwifery course from any Nursing institute recognized by Indian Nursing Council and West Bengal Nursing Council. Candidates must be registered under the West Bengal Nursing Council.
Candidates should be permanent resident of West Bengal and knowledge in either Bengali or Nepali is essential.
Age limits: Age of candidates should be between 18 to 35 years as on 1 January 2012.
Apply within 28 September 2012 in a A4 size paper with the following enclosures attested by Gazetted Officer or Head of the Institution concerned.

Mark sheets of Higher Secondary or equivalent examination
All mark sheets of GNM examination
One passport size photograph affixed on the form with self-signature on it.
