West Bengal assembly polls Phase III



In phase III of West Bengal assembly polls, 75 assembly constituencies will be on voting process.  People of all the assembly seats of North 24 Paraganas, South 24 Paraganas and Kolkata Corporation will cast their votes in the phase III voting of West Bengal Bidhan Sabha Election 2011. Polling date of phase III election is 27 April, 2011.

Dum Dum assembly constituency is in hot news recently. CPI (M) heavy weight candidate Gautam Deb is contesting from Dum Dum constituency and Trinamool Congress candidate here is Bratya Basu. This assembly seat is drawing attention of people due to hot verbal duel between the two prime candidates here.
Khardaha assembly constituency is a prestige issue for both CPI (M) and Trinamool Congress. State Finance  Minister Ashim Dasgupta is contesting from Khardaha assembly seat and Trinamool Congress candidate is another eminent economist Dr. Amit Mitra.
Bengali film actor Chiranjeet is contesting from Barasat constituency under the banner of Trinamool Congress.

Key assembly seats and candidates in South 24 Paraganas


All attention is on Jadavpur assembly constituency. Here CPI (M) candidate is Chief Minister of West Bangal, Buddhadeb Bhattcharjee and Trinamool candidate is Manish Gupta, ex Chief Secretary of state government.

Shatarup Ghosh of CPI (M) is the youngest contestant in this state assembly polls 2011. He is contesting from Kasba constituency against heavyweight Trinamool Congress candidate Javed Khan.

Mayor Sovan Chatterjee.Is Trinamool Congress candidate from Behala Purba and opposition leader is assembly,  Partha Chatterjee.is contesting from Behala Paschim as Trinamool Congress candidate.

In Gosaba constituency, the main contestants are Samar Mondal of RSP and Jayanta Naskar of Trinamool Congress.

In Basanti constituency, the main contestants are Subhas Naskar of RSP and Arnab Roy of Congress.

In Kultali constituency, the main contestants are Joy Krishna Haldar of SUCI and Ramshankar Haldar of CPI (M).

In Sagar constituency, the main contestants are Bankim Hazra of Trinamool Congress and Milan Parua of CPI (M).

In Kulpi constituency, the main contestants are Jogoranjan Haldar of Trinamool Congress and Shkuntala Paik of CPI (M).

In Raidighi constituency, the main contestants are Debasree Roy of Trinamool Congress and Kanti Ganguli of CPI (M).

In Canning East constituency, the main contestants are Ibrahim Molla of Congress and Abdur Rezzac Molla of CPI (M).

State Minister Anadi Sahu is contesting from Beleghata, Manab Mukherjee of CPI (M) contested from this assembly seat in previous assembly elections and results were in favour of CPI (M). Manab Mukherjee is not contesting this time. Paresh Pal.is Trinamool Congress candidate from Beleghata.

Heavyweight Trinamool candidates are contesting from Kolkata assembly seats. Sovandeb Chattopadhyay.is the Trinamool Congress candidate from Rashbehari. Subrata Bakshi Of  Trinamool Congress is contesting from Bhabanipur. Senior political leaders like Subrata Mukherjee and Sadhan Pande are Trinamool Congress candidates from Ballygunge and Maniktala respectively. Smt. Sikha Mitra, wife of Trinamool Congress MP Somen Mitrais contesting from Chowrangee. Sarnakamal Saha of Trinamool Congress and IT Minister Debes Das, CPI (M) nominated candidate are the main contenders of the Entally assembly seat.
All are eager to see the result of Kolkata Port assembly constituency. Firad Hakim popularly known as Bobby Hakim is the Trinamool Congress candidate from Kolkata Port.
