This is a new assembly constituency after delimitation.
In the West Bengal 2021 assembly elections, Sikha Chatterjee of BJP defeated her nearest rival Goutam Deb of Trinamool Congress. Sikha Chatterjee got 129,088 votes and Goutam Deb got 101,495 votes.
In the West Bengal 2016 assembly elections, Goutam Deb of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Dilip Singh of CPI(M).
In the West Bengal 2011 assembly elections, Goutam Deb of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Dilip Singh of CPI(M).
