Admission Notification 2015 From National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

 

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has issued admission notification for the academic session 2015. The entrance exam will be conducted in two modes:

Paper Based Test (PBT) for all UG and PG programmes, and Computer Based Test (CBT) for all UG and PG programmes except Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor Programmes: 


Candidates with age equal to less than 23 years on 1 October 2014 with required qualification can apply for Bachelor courses at NIFT. Relaxation of 5 years is permitted for SC, ST and PHP candidates.

For Bachelor in Design (B.Des) programmes: aspirants should have cleared one of the following:

Class 12 board examination from CBSE, CISCE or any of the state education boards, or Advanced ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate (IB) exam of the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination from London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka,

Any public school, board or university exam recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system (in India or abroad), or Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with at least five subjects, or 3-year or 4-year Diploma recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education.

For Bachelor in Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) programme), candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects in any of the first five qualifications mentioned above. Or they should have done 3-year or 4-year Diploma in any branch of Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor Programmes: 


There is no age limit specified for NIFT 2015 Master programme aspirants.

For Master of Design (M.Des) programme, aspirants should have cleared one of the following:

Last date of submission of online application form: 10 January 2015

Last date for payment of application fee: (either by credit card or debit card or through Demand Draft): 10 January 2015

Candidates can apply with may apply with late fees of Rs 5,000: 16 January 2015

Online availability of admit cards: 23 January 2015 (by 1 pm)

NIFT 2015 Paper Based Test (PBT-I) for all UG and PG programmes will be conducted on: 8 February 2015

NIFT 2015 Paper Based Test (PBT-II) for B.Des and M.Des programmes and Computer Based Test (CBT) for all UG and PG programmes (except B.Des and M.Des) will be conducted on: 22 February 2015 Situation Test, Group Discussion and/or Interview rounds will be conducted in: April to May, 2015.

Final NIFT 2015 exam result will be declared by: May-end or June, 2015

Online counselling for NIFT courses will take place: June 2015 onwards
