Jadavpur University Vice-Chancellor resigns from his post. Abhijit Chakrabarti has send his resignation to Education Minister of the state Partha Chottopadhyay through SMS.
Jadavpur University students have greeted the news with wild cheers. Chief Minister today came to University campus and said: "The vice chancellor has resigned. Let there be peace in the campus now."
17 students were on a hunger strike since one week demanding the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor.
