A magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck Nepal today at and massive tremors felt in Delhi and the entire northern and eastern region of India at around 11.45am.
. The epi-centre of today's earthquake is 80 km away from Pokhara in Nepal. Aftershocks also felt in major cities.
Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal felt the tremors. Tremors were felt for nearly 2 minutes here in the city and nearby suburbs. Metro train services in Kolkata were Metro rail services were temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure. Siliguri in West Bengal is affected by the earthquake.
Extensive damage has been reported in Kathmandu and other parts of Nepal.
