Film Dhumketu is in news for many
reasons. Dhumketu is a Kaushik Ganguly film and Dev – Subhashree pair will be
seen together after a long gap. Another news is that Chiranjeet Chakraborty
will play a pivotal character in Dhumketu. Kaushik Ganguly said "I adore Deepakda (Chiranjeet) as an actor and I
am happy that he will be part of my film. He plays a professor and a physical
trainer, who is quite a rebel. He is Dev's mentor in the film.I took Deepakda
on board as I needed someone who is dignified, masculine and yet emotional in
his behaviour and I feel he is apt. Dev in this film is also very real and
devoid of stardom.Deepakda's part will be shot in Simla soon. “
Kaushik Ganguly further
said “Dhumketu revolves around a
`terroist family' and how the members fight against social discrepancy
.Actually, unknowingly a terrorist is killing his own family while killing
others."
