Note:
1.Candidates who have passed in the B.Sc. (Hons) examination in the year 2017 are eligible to apply.
2.Applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in the undergraduate level to be eligible to apply in the General Merit category.
Documents to be produced at the time of Admission:
1.Original & attested copies of Mark-sheets [B.Sc (Hons)].
2.Age Proof in original & attested copy
3.Receipt of submission of application form
4.Candidates from outside West Bengal Universities will have to produce Equivalence Certificate from Calcutta University.
5.Two copies of recent stamp-size photograph
6.SC/ST Certificate with photo-identity (if applicable) – Original & attested copy
7.Physical Disability Certificate (if applicable) – Original & attested copy
8.For Christian candidates
a.Baptism/Confirmation Certificate - Original & attested copy and
b.Membership Certificate from the parish priest - Original & attested copy
9.Proof of Nationality of candidate/parent – Original
10. Income Certificate to validate annual income (parents salary certificate/ IT Returns,….)
Original.
Parent/responsible relative (if parent not available) must accompany the candidate at the time of admission.
Admission will be made on the basis of Index Mark only. Any candidate who fails to appear at the scheduled time and date will not be considered for admission later.

Phase II admission may be considered if vacancies exist.

Eligibility Criteria


Candidates who have passed in the B.Sc. (Hons) examination of Calcutta University or equivalent in the year 2017 are eligible to apply.

Total Number of Seats: Chemistry – 30 Botany – 20

Seats for General Merit Category: Calcutta University – 17% Other Universities – 12%

Other Reservation of Seats: SC – 22%, ST – 6%, PH – 3%, Christian – 30%,
Scottish Church College Students – 10%

 Applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply in the General Merit category. 40% for SC/ST/Christian applicants

 Applicants for the Chemistry course should have passed in Mathematics and Physics/Computer Science as elective subjects at the U.G. level.

Documents to be produced at the time of Admission

1. Receipt of Application Fee/Bank Chalan : Original
2. Proof of Date of Birth : Original & One Attested Copy
3. Mark-sheets (BSc) : Original & One Attested Copy
4. Two copies of recent colour photograph (passport size)
5. SC/ST Certificate with photo-identity (if applicable) Original & One Attested Copy
6. Physical Disability Certificate (if applicable) Original & One Attested Copy
7. For Christian candidates (both documents essential)
a) Baptism/Confirmation Certificate Original & One Attested Copy
b) Current Membership Certificate from the parish priest Original & One Attested Copy
8. Equivalence Certificate from Calcutta University for applicants outside West Bengal Universities
