The former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was admitted at AIIMS on June 11. Vajpayee Ji was diagnosed with kidney tract infection, urinary tract infection and low urine output. Presently Ajal Ji's condition is very critical.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been admitted at AIIMS for the last nine weeks and his condition is worsened over the last 24 hours. Hospital chairperson Dr Aarti Vij said yesterday “His condition is critical and he is on life support system.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited AIIMS to inquire about his health. Piyush Goyal, Smriti Irani, Harsh Vardhan, Jitendra Singh and Ashwini Kumar Choubey also visited the hospital.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924 and was a MP for over four decades. He was elected to the Lok Sabha ten times, and twice to the Rajya Sabha. Atal Ji retired from active politics in 2009 due to health concerns.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee did his schooling from the Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Gorkhi, Bara, Gwalior and attended Gwalior's Victoria College and graduated with distinction in Hindi, English and Sanskrit. Our former Prime Minister completed his post-graduation with an M.A. in Political Science from DAV College, Kanpur, and was awarded a first-class degree.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee served as the Prime Minister of India between 1996 and 2004 in three non-consecutive terms. Atal Bihari Vajpayee is a lifelong celibate and has an adopted daughter, Namita.
