In 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal, Partha Bhowmick of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Falguni Patra of BJP. Partha Bhowmick got 77,753 votes while Falguni Patra got 58,898 votes.
In 2016 assembly elections in West Bengal, Partha Bhowmick of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Gargi Chatterjee of CPI (M). Partha Bhowmick got 74,057 votes while Gargi Chatterjee got 45,429 votes.
