Candidates will be required to bring the following at the time of
counselling & admission:
A print out of the on-line application.
Admit card of written admisssion test.
3 (three) recent passport size photographs.
Online payment receipt downloaded from SBI server after online
payment.
All original marksheets, certificates including SC/ST/PD/OBC A/OBC
B certificates from competent authorities in the names of the candidates themselves,
where applicable, are to be shown at the time of interview for verification.
The original madhyamik admit card/certificate (for age
verification).
Attested copies of all marksheets, certificates, madhyamik admit
card/certificate are to be submitted at the time of admission.
Parents/guardian's income certificate issued by the employer with
office seal for the employed person and for others by a gazetted officer.
Provisionally selected and waitlisted candidates must fill a
online form in the following link on and from 28th May, 2019 and must bring the print
out of the form at the time of admission.

VI. All admissions are provisional.
VII. Date of counselling of the provisionally selected candidates
: June 4, 2019 at 11am.
Venue: Prof. Anita Banerjee Memorial Hall (Ground Floor, U.G. Arts
Building), Jadavpur University, Kolkata-32.
If a candidate fails to appear on the specified date and time for
counselling, the next candidate in order of merit will be considered for
admission. The candidate absent on June 4, 2019, will also NOT be considered
for admission against vacancy (if any) at a later date.
VIII. Classes will commence on July 1, 2019.
IX. The candidates admitted to M.L.I.Sc course should have at
least 50% attendance of total classes held during 01.07.2019 – 09.07.2019,
failing which his/her studentship will be treated as cancelled without further
reference.
X. Vacancies, if any, along with names of waitlisted candidates
will be notified on the website on 12.07.2019 after 6.00 pm. Only those
waitlisted candidates who were present at the time of counseling on June 4,
2019 and recorded their attendances at the
Office of the Dean and Secretary, Faculty Council of Arts on the
same daywill be considered for admission against vacancy, if any.
Jadavpur University has accepted in principle that each and every
student of the university shall be duty bound during the entire period of
studentship with the university to immediately report to the Dean of Students
if any ragging is noticed either in university hostel or on university campus.
If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority,
the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his explanation
is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him/her from the
university.
Details of on-line submission of anti-ragging affidavit shall be
made available by the Head, Department of Lib. & Inf. Sc., at the time of
counselling.
Print out of the anti-ragging affidavit submitted on-line by the
student and his/her parents must be submitted to the Head, Department of Lib.
& Inf. Sc. within 15 (fifteen) days from the commencement of classes (i.e.,
July 16, 2019).
