Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore invites applications for the various Post Graduate, Fellowship, Post Basic B.Sc. Degree and Diploma Courses for the academic year 2020-2020.

Eligibility Criteria for CMC Vellore PG Nursing Admission 2020
For M.Sc. Degree in Nursing
i.                Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai or any other University accepted as equivalent thereto with minimum of 55% aggregate marks
ii.        Minimum one year of experience as on 1st September 2020 in a hospital or in a College or School of Nursing or in Community Health Programme from the date of registration in the State Nursing Council after B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Honors) in Nursing (or) after / prior to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (regular stream)
iii.        A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
i.                Passed Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary / Intermediate / 10 + 2 / or equivalent examination recognized by the University / 10 + 1 in or before the year 1986
ii.        Passed the qualification of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course
iii.        Permanent registration certificate with the State Registration Council for Nursing and Midwifery / alternate course approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery in any one of the following areas
iv.        O.T. Technique, (b) Ophthalmic Nursing, (c) Leprosy Nursing (d) TB Nursing (e) Psychiatric Nursing (f) Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing (g) Community Health Nursing (h) Cancer Nursing (i) Orthopedic Nursing
v.        A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer

Post Basic Diploma in Nursing
i.                Passed the qualification of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course / B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
ii.        Permanent registration certificate from the State Nursing Council for Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course (applicable to male candidates)
iii.        Minimum one year of work experience as on 1st September 2020 in any clinical area in the hospital or in the community
iv.        A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer

Fellowship in Nursing
i.                Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai or any other University accepted as equivalent there to
ii.        Permanent registration certificate from the State Nursing Council for Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course (applicable to male candidates)
iii.        Minimum one year of work experience as on 1st September 2020 in any clinical area in the hospital or in the community
iv.        A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer

i.                This bulletin may be downloaded free of cost from Christian Medical College website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in
ii.        The essential details are provided to enable candidates to fill the application form for the various Post Graduate, Post Basic B.Sc. Degree and Diploma and Fellowship courses for the academic year 2020-2021
iii.        Please go through this carefully before filling the form. Application forms are available ONLINE ONLY
iv.        For a candidate to be accepted to the programme he/she is required to register with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council between 10.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday (on all government working days). The address is as follows:

i.                The application form for registration with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council (TNNMC) can be downloaded from the website. The duly filled in TNNMC registration application is to be submitted to the Council directly along with the following:
ii.        Registration fee of Rs.2,000/- for Nurse and Midwife and Rs. 1,000/- for additional qualification can be paid in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai payable at Chennai Branch
iii.        Original and photocopy of the Nursing certificates - Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course (applicable to male candidates) /B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
