General Information:


1. Candidates who have passed in the B.Sc. Honours Examination of Calcutta University or equivalent are eligible to apply.

2. Total Number of Seats: Chemistry – 36 Botany – 24

Merit Category: Calcutta University – 80% Other Universities –

20%

 Other

Reservation of Seats:

Christians – 30%,

PH – 3%

Scottish Church College Students – 10%

3. Applicants who have scored at least 50% marks in the qualifying honours examination are eligible

to apply in the General Merit category.

4. Applicants in the Christian category must have scored at least 40% marks in the qualifying honours

examination.

5. ApplicantsfortheChemistry course should have at least 50% marks in B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry

with Mathematics as one of the General Subject or its equivalent.

6. Admission is strictly in order of merit, judged on the basis of percentage of marks secured in the Honours

subject for (1+1+1 system) OR Core Course (CC) subjects + Skill Enhancement Course (SEC) subjects +

Discipline Specific Elective (DSE) subject for CBCS system and in case of a tie, the aggregate of marks in

General subjects for (1+1+1 system) OR Generic Elective (GE)

Subjects for CBCS system will be taken into consideration.

7. There is a provision of 5% reservation for Management discretion.
