South Eastern Railway 2026 Puja Special Trains

 As of 24 September 2026, SER has proposed/announced some festival specials, but the complete SER Puja-special list and final rake compositions do not yet appear to have been published in one consolidated official release. In particular, the Ranchi Division has proposed additional special trains for the Dussehra–Diwali–Chhath rush, with final approval and coach availability still being worked out.

1. 09619/09620 Ranchi–Ajmer

The Ranchi Division has identified 09619/09620 Ranchi–Ajmer–Ranchi Puja Special for the 2026 festive period.

The currently reported schedule is:

• 09619 Ranchi → Ajmer: services beginning around 4 October 2026, continuing through 29 November 2026

• 09620 Ajmer → Ranchi: services beginning around 2 October 2026, continuing through 27 November 2026

However, the exact departure/arrival timings and final coach composition should be treated as pending until SER's final operating notification. The Ranchi Division has been working on a larger package of festival specials. 

2. 08611/08612 Santragachi–Ajmer

This is one of the more clearly documented SER festival services.

08611 Santragachi → Ajmer

• Santragachi departure: 19:00

• Ajmer arrival: 15:00 on the third day

• Route includes Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chandil, Purulia, Muri, Ranchi and Lohardaga

• Festival service dates have been reported for the September–November period. 

08612 Ajmer → Santragachi

• Ajmer departure: 23:40

• Ranchi: approximately 06:55

• Muri: approximately 08:18

• Santragachi arrival: 16:00 on Saturday for the reported weekly service. 

Coach composition:

• 2 × SLR

• 4 × General Second Class

• 12 × Sleeper

• 2 × AC 3-Tier

• Total = 20 coaches 

3. 08629/08630 Ranchi–Gorakhpur

Another SER/Ranchi Division festival special being reported is:

08629 Ranchi → Gorakhpur

• Departure Ranchi: 16:50

• Arrival Gorakhpur: 11:45 next day

• Weekly service
