Anupam Kher is chairman of Film and Television Institute of India - FTII Pune

 The government has appointed Anupam Kher as chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

Anupam Kher will replace Gajendra Chauhan, whose tenure ended in March this year.

Anupam Kher. born on 7 March 1955 at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh is a talented actor in Bollywood films. Anupam's wife Kirron Kher is also an actress and currently she is MP of BJP.

Madhur Bhandarkar starts shooting his international project

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has started the shooting of his international film titled 'Mumbai Mist'. The director himself has disclosed the news through Twitter:  "#EarlyMorningShift for the Shoot of International project #MumbaiMist for the BRICS Film Festival."

The story of Mumbai Mist revolves around an old man and an orphan kid. Bollywood actor Annu Kapoor is playing the role of the old man in Madhur Bhandarkar's film Mumbai Mist. The film is based on the 21 months Emergency Era in India during 1976 to 1977.

 Actor Parvin Dabas is working with Bhandarkar on the movie. Other actors in the film Mumbai Mist are Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kirti Kulhari and Tota Roy Choudhury.

American romantic comedy film 'The Big Sick', Directed by Michael Showalter is going to be the 500th film of veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher. The film 'The Big Sick' is set to have its world premiere at Sundance film festival on 20 January 2017.


The film 'The Big Sick' stars Oscar-winning actress Holy Hunter, Pakistani-American stand-up comedian Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan, Ray Romano, and Anupam Kher.

Anupam Kher is very excited and said: "My 500th film The Big Sick selected for World Premier at Sundance Film Festival. Life's best gift for the son of a clerk."
