After the last dismissal, Abby kept the news secret. During this period, Abby Sen meets a self-styled scientist who claims to have discovered a time-travel capsule. Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Rituparna Sengupta get Mahanayak and Mahanayika Award

West Bengal government on Friday felicitated veteran Bengali film actors Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Rituparna Sengupta with 'Mahanayak' and 'Mahanayika' awards.

Mahanayak Samman awards is held every year in the memory of legendary actor Uttam Kumar to honour actors and actresses in Bengali film industries for their valuable contribution in the industry. This year the awards goes to Rituparna and Sabyasachi.

Veterans actors like Paran Bandyopadhyay, Anjan Dutta, Sandhya Roy, Chiranjeet Chakraborty and director Utpalendu Chakraborty were given lifetime achievement awards for their contributions in Bengali films.

Chiranjeet is the next Kakababu in Bengali film Jangal Garer Chabi

Byomkesh films are made in Bengali and Hindi. TV serial of Byomkesh is going on for Bengali audiences. Prosenjit Chatterjee has already played Kakababu in Srijit Mukherjee’s film Mishor Rahasya and now another Bengali film superstar Chiranjeet will play the role of Kakababu.

Chiranjeet was once box office hero of Bengali films. Recently Chiranjeet has started his second innings of filmy career and the starting is successful. In film Chotushkone, Bengali film audiences discovered a serious Chiranjeet. The film titled Jangal Garer Chabi will be directed by Raja Roychoudhury and RP Tech Vision. The novel Jangal Garer Chabi written by Sunil Gangopadhyay was published in 1987. 

Chiranjeet has already signed for the film and is very much excited getting the role of Kakababu in film Jangal Garer Chabi. Prosenjit Chatterjee and Srijit Mukherjee are aware of the fact that another Kakababu film will be produced with Chiranjeet in the leading role. They have sportingly accepted it and welcome Chiranjeet. News is that Prosenjit-Srijit will start shooting of another Kakababu film from May this year and both the Kakababu films of Chiranjeet and Prosenjit will release during Durga Puja this year, most probably on the same date.

Film director Prabhat Roy was impressed by the performance of Rituparna and offered her  a role in his film Shwetpatharer Thala. Rituparna Sengupta’s father was not very happy with the offer but allowed her to work in film. That was the beginning of a glorious career of the actress, Rituparna Sengupta.

The film Shwetpatharer Thala was a superhit film. Rituparna Sengupta got mixed response from the audiences. At that time Rituparna’s voice was little bit odd. Her brown eyes were also a point of critisism. Rituparna Sengupta was not a trained actress so she was a target. Rituparna motivated herself to get a platform in the industry. The actress worked hard and her first hit commercial film was ‘Sujansakhi’ opposite Abhisekh.
