Mithun Chakraborty admitted to hospital after suffering brain stroke

 According to hospital sources, actor Mithun Chakraborty suffered a brain stroke. Trinamool legislator-actor Soham Chakraborty rushed him to the hospital. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital near the bypass.

Actor Mithun Chakraborty admitted to hospital. Mithun was taken to the hospital from the shooting floor of the film 'Shastri' around 10 am on Saturday. According to hospital sources, the actor suffered a brain stroke. The Trinamool legislator-actor went to the hospital with him. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital near the bypass.

The shooting of 'Shastri' started at the end of January. Mithun Chakraborty and Devashree Roy are returning to the big screen after 16 years with this film. Mithun-Devasree is the main attraction of the film. Besides, there are a bunch of stars in the film. Sauraseni Maitra, Shaswat Chatterjee, Rajtav Dutta, Anirban Chakraborty, Kaushik Sen, Kanchan Mallick, Ambarish Bhattacharya. The film's producer Soham has also kept a character for himself.

Mithun Chakraborty and Mamata Shankar reunite for Bengali film Projapoti after 46 years

 Mithun Chakraborty and Mamata Shankar, the celebrated pair from Mrinal Sen’s Mriyaga (1976), are set to work together in Avijit Sen’s upcoming family drama ‘Projapoti’. The film is based on a tale of a father and his son. Dev is also in the film.

Mithun Chakraborty has already said that one of the main reasons he is doing this film is because of his affection for Dev. The veteran actor now only agrees to be part of the films whose stories touch his heart and he believes the story of ‘Prajapoti’ will attract cine lovers.

Sharing his thoughts on working with Mamata Shankar after so many years Mithun revealed that he doesn’t have any idea why any filmmaker didn’t think of casting them together in all these years. But he feels now the time has arrived and there’s always a right time for telling every story.

An excited Mamata Shankar, too, shared that she is feeling a bit nervous ahead of the shoot. Although she didn’t reveal any details about her character in the film the veteran actress said that she will have an important contribution to the father and son’s bonding. Mamata Shankar further added that she actually feels the adrenaline rush of a first-timer again.

Mithun Chakraborty starrer Bengali film Ek Nodir Golpo may be India's official entry to the Oscars. The decision is not yet finalized but the box office report and the review report of the film is excellent.

Mithun Chakraborty has delivered a magnificent performance in the film Ek Nodir Galpo.

The latest hot news in Tollywood is that present Bengali film superstar Dev will work with Bengali and Bollywood film superstar Mithun Chakraborty. This is for the first time that Dev will work with Mithun. Year 2014 is going to be a special year for Bengali actor Dev. Dev has proved his acting talent in film Chander Pahar. Right now Dev is busy with Lok Sabha Election as he is Trinamool Congress candidate from Ghatal lok sabha constituency and in the same year he will work with his Mithun da in a high voltage Bengali film. Bengali and Hindi film actor Mithun Chakraborty is all set to make his debut in Telegu films. The untitled thriller Telegu movie will be directed by Satya Prabhas and Mithun Chakraborty will be seen in a very important role in the film. Bengali version Bigg Boss - who are the contestants

Filmy career of Mithun Chakraborty

Mithun started his filmy career with a classic film Mrigaya in 1976, directed by Mrinal Sen. Mithun won National Film Award for Best Actor for this film. After that Mithun went to Mumbai to try his luck in Hindi films. Initially he worked in supporting role of few films like Do Anjaane, Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan etc in the late seventies but those films did not helped Mithun to get a platform in Bollywood film industry. From the last part of 70’s Mithun Chakraborty acted films started doing good business in Bollywood but the films were mostly low budget and B grade action films.

Mithun Chakraborty got the real taste of success in Disco Dancer. The film was released in 1982 and Mithun’s performance as a dancer was recognized by the film industry. After the super duper hit of Disco Dancer, Mithun worked on many films which projected him as a talented dancer of the film industry. Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki, Dance Dance and many other films fully utilized the dancing capability of Mithun Chakraborty.

In romantic love films also Mithun Chakraborty proved his ability. In the 80’s Mithun acted in many romantic love films like Mujhe Insaaf Chahiye, Ghar Ek Mandir, Pyaar Jhukta Nahin, Swarg Se Sunder, and Pyaar Ka Mandir etc and bof office report these films were good.
