West Bengal assembly election results of Galsi constituency



Constituency number: 274

In 2016 assembly election, Alok Kumar Majhi of  AITC won Galsi  assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Nandalal Pondit of AIFB.

In 2011 assembly election, Sunil Kumar Mondal of  Forward Bloc won Galsi  assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Joydeb Saha of Trinamool Congress. Sunil Kumar Mondal got 92,126 votes, Joydeb Saha got 81,272 votes and Tapan Bagdi of BJP got 8,714 votes.
Mehbub Mondal of Forward Bloc won this assembly seat in assembly elections 2006 defeating his nearest rival Anil Kumar Saha of BJP.

In 2001 assembly elections, Forward Bloc nominated candidate Mehbub Mondal defeated his nearest rival Ajijul Haque Mondal of Congress.

In 1996 assembly elections, Idrish Mondal of Forward Block defeated his nearest rival Syed Imdad Ali of Congress.

In 1991 assembly elections, Idrish Mondal of Forward Block won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Champak of Congress.

In 1987 assembly elections, Deb Ranjan Sen of Forward Block won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Ajit Bandopadhyay of Congress.

In 1982 assembly elections, Deb Ranjan Sen of Forward Block won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Himanshu Baran Roy of Congress.

In 1977 assembly elections, Deb Ranjan Sen of Forward Block won this assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Nirmalendu Koner of Congress.

In 1972 assembly elections, Aswini Roy of CPI (M) won this  Galsi assembly seat.

In 1971 assembly elections, Anil Roy of CPI (M) won this assembly seat.

In 1969 assembly elections, independent candidate Phakir Chandra Roy won this assembly seat.

In 1967 assembly elections, independent candidate Phakir Chandra Roy won this assembly seat.

In 1962 assembly elections, independent candidate Phakir Chandra Roy won this assembly seat.
