Public Service Commission, West Bengal (PSC West Bengal) invites application from the interested and eligible candidates for 63 posts of Assistant Teacher, Inspector of Legal Metrology, Sub-Editor in Hindi Language and Assistant Manager.

Post: Teacher

No. of vacancies as per subject wise are as follows:-

1. Mathematics: 05 posts (UR-3; SC-2)
2. Physics: 05 posts (UR-3; SC-2)
3. Chemistry: 05 posts (UR)
4. Political Science: 02 posts (OBC-A -1; ST-1)
5. English: 05 posts (UR-1; OBC-A-1; OBC-B-1; SC-2)
6. Geography: 01 post (PWD – Blindness or Low Vision)
7. History: 02 posts (OBC-B-1; ST-1)

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University AND must have passed Madhyamik or Higher Secondary Examination from any English Medium School of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education, or its equivalent examination with English as first language.

Desirable: A degree in Teaching or Education of a recognized University or its equivalent.

Age Limit: Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2015.

Pay Scale: Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,800/-

Post: Inspector Of Legal Metrology

Number of Vacancies: 32 (OBC-A-2; OBC-B-2; SC-7; ST-2; PH-1)

Qualification: Graduate of a recognised university in Science (With Physics as one of the subjects), Technology or Engineering OR Holds a recognised diploma in Engineering with three years experience in the field of Engineering in which the candidate has earned the diploma or in the field of Legal Metrology.

Candidates should be able to speak, read and write the regional language of the state, i.e., Bengali / Nepali for the candidates from the hill area of Darjeeling District.

Age Limit: Not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2015

Pay Scale: Rs.9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,400/-.

Post: Sub-Editor In Hindi Language

Number of Vacancies: 01 (UR)

Qualification: An Honours degree from a recognized University and 03 years experience as Sub-Editor or working Journalist in any media house of repute; or 3 (three) years experience as Mass Communication practitioner in the Public Relations Wing of Government, Semi Government Organisation and/or Corporate House or reputed Advertisement Agencies with experiences of bringing out house journals and publicity materials in print media; See officially released advertisement for more details.

Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on 01.01.2015.

Pay Scale: Rs.9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,400/-.

Post: Assistant Manager

Number of Vacancies: 05 (OBC-B-1; SC-1; PH Low Vision/Blindness -1)

Qualification: A degree in Agriculture of a recognized university with Botany or Horticulture as one of the subject, or a Degree in Science of a recognized university with Botany as one of subject (preference being given to a person holding Honours Degree in Science of a recognized university with Botany as one of the subject).
Preference will be given to candidates having some field experience.

Age Limit: Not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2015

Pay Scale: Rs.9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,600/-.
