Recruitment of clerical staff in Indian Overseas Bank


Indian Overseas Bankis will recruit 1500 eligible candidates as ‘Clerical Staff’ for different areas in India. Candidates with valid scorecard in IBPS and those who have qualified CWE conducted by IBPS for Clerical Cadre posts in the month of November/December 2011 can apply for the posts. Candidates can apply online only through official website of Indian Overseas Bank.

Essential Qualification: Any one of the followings:

1.    Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary with 65% marks.

2.    Diploma in Banking with 60% marks

3.    Graduate with 50% marks


Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman


Knowledge in English is essential. Computer knowledge is also required.

Age limit: Candidates must be within 18 years to 28 years as on 1stAugust 2011. Age relaxation for OBC—3 yrs, SC/ST—5 yrs, PWD—10 yrs


Pay Scale: Rs.7200—Rs.19300 plus allowances.

Selection procedure: Selection will be through Interview.  Probable time of interview is August – September 2012 and it will be informed to shortlisted candidates through e-mail.
