A new bill for the women employees of West Bengal state government is in the queue. A mother, employee of West Bengal state government would get 720 days leave until her child becomes 18 years old.
Good news for women employees of West Bengal state government. They will be entitled for 720 days leave in their entire service for bringing up their children.Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has passed the file and the bill will be presented in the cabinet and after the bill is passed the Finance Department will announce it.
Women employees will be entitled to take the leave untill her child becomes adult, 18 years old. This special leave can be taken entirely or on many break ups. Officers of Finance Department of West Bengal hope that the bill will be implemented very soon.
Presently the women employees get 180 days maternity leave. State government of West Bengal has started another special leave of 135 days in case of adapted child. If the adapted child's age is within 1 year, this special leave of 135 days will be granted.
