Ranaghat Uttar Paschim Assembly Constituency Election Results

Previously Ranaghat was divided into two assembly constituencies-Ranaghat East and Ranaghat West. Due to delimitation, from assembly polls 2011 onwards Ranaghat Uttar Paschim is a new assembly constituency.

In 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal, Partha Sarathi Chatterjee of  BJP defeated his nearest rival Shankar Singh of  Trinamool Congress. Partha Sarathi Chatterjee got 112,413 votes and Shankar Singh got 89,503 votes.

In 2016 assembly elections in West Bengal, Shankar Singha of Congress defeated his nearest rival Parthasarathi Chatterjee of  AITC.

In 2011 assembly elections in West Bengal, Partha Sarathi Chatterjee of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Meena Bhattacharya of  CPI (M). Partha Sarathi Chatterjee got 101,395 votes and Meena Bhattacharya got 74,051 votes.

In the 2006 state assembly poll, Debendra Nath Biswas of  CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Nilima Nag (Mallick) of AITC.

In the 2001 state assembly poll, Asim Bala of  CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Dr. Ramendra Nath Biswas of AITC.

In the 1996 state assembly poll, Binay Krishna Biswas of  CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Akhil Kumar Majumdar of INC.

In the 1991 state assembly poll, Binay Krishna Biswas of  CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Akhil Kumar Majumdar of INC.

In the 1987 state assembly poll, Binay Krishna Biswas of  CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Dr. Ramendra Nath Biswas of INC.

In the 1982 state assembly poll, Satish Chandra Biswas of  CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Nitai Pada Sarkar an independent candidate.

In the 1977 state assembly poll, Satish Chandra Biswas of  CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Sushil Kumar Ray of INC.

In the 2006 state assembly poll, Aloke Kumar Das of  CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Shankar Singha of INC.
